SAFE is organized as a 501 C3, non-profit Arizona Corporation, with elected Officers and Board of Directors.

What does SAFE do?
SAFE is a Club affiliate of the National Rifle Association and the Civilian Marksmanship Program and we support local and national firearms training.

We provide equipment and instruction to youth groups such as the Boys Scouts Of America, 4H, Civilian Air Patrol, and Diamondback Shooting Sports. We are also involved with Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation including the'Straight Shooters' SASP team and the WildGats at the University of Arizona. Our members can provide NRA Instructor and NRA Coach training classes when needed for team leader certification.

We also facilitate NRA-approved classes such as Women On Target.  This class is designed and operated specifically to empower women to learn the safe, responsible use of firearms associated with the shooting sports, or for self defense with a firearm if it becomes necessary.

SAFE's Board of Directors is always looking for new and innovative ways to foster and to encourage the safe, responsible, and legal use of firearms among the communities we serve.

Why does SAFE do all of this?

Simply put, SAFE's goal is to encourage responsible firearm ownership and to help educate the people of Southern Arizona to learn the proper, safe, and legal ways to use firearms for shooting sports and for self-defense.
